Dance camp in the Redwoods is a magical place where you live and dance under the tall and stately Redwood trees. Each morning you wake up to the beauty of nature and share delicious meals throughout the day with friends. Each evening, under the black, diamond-studded sky you walk to the fairy ring of redwoods for a lovely ritual. In-between, you dance, dance, dance, sharing the fun and companionship of a warm and loving community.

For one exciting week you are a vital part of a dance company, directed by sensitive artist-teachers. You are encouraged to develop a personal movement vocabulary and draw from your own inner resources. This camp values and emphasizes creativity, as well as modern technique, improvisation, contact work, choreography and environmental connections. Visual art, music, poetry, journaling, and theatre games are also part of this total dance adventure.

Dance Camp of the Redwoods is open to young people who are ten to eighteen years of age. Previous dance experience is helpful, but not required.
